I am making a request for riders to join me in the Titletown Bike Tour on July 14. Before you dismiss my request let me tell you a little story that might help you change your mind. I understand if you have other plans, but if you please consider joining me. I will be riding the 100k portion of the tour. That is about 85 miles. It seems like a long ways but let’s put it into perspective. Imagine you are 19 years old or 40 years old or any age for that matter and you just find out you have cancer or leukemia. You are going on a far longer and tougher ride than a mere 100 kilometers. I think riding 100k to support the outreach efforts of the Breast Cancer Family Foundation is a cake walk. Will my body hurt? Yes. Will I be tired? Yes. Will I get sick during the ride? Maybe? But imagine being healthy one day and taking chemo the next. You will be all that and more and you don’t get the option. So make the choice and join me to ride 100k to support the Breast Cancer Family Foundation. We will not leave anybody behind and we will make sure everyone finishes the course. If no one wishes to join me I understand. I will ride the 100k by myself. Traveling the tour of cancer can be a very lonely journey and I will ride the 100k alone if need be. I will do it to honor Carrie, my mom, my grandfather, Sally and Rose. All people that are very close to me that are either battling cancer or lost their battle. Please consider joining me. If you can’t join me I would hope that you would donate to help me reach my goal of $1000. You can join my team or donate in my name at www.crowdrise.com/carebearforlife.
