Last days to help in 2016
December 28, 2016
#GivingTuesday was just the kickoff of our year-end fundraising campaign, and YOU can still help Greater Cleveland's classroom for job seekers.
Career Transition Center (CTC) is a non-profit organization that assists and supports unemployed and underemployed Northeast Ohio residents. Our free classes and job clubs in libraries throughout Greater Cleveland are open to everyone. Our programs focus on educating and empowering the experienced worker (45 to 70) — individuals who may be falling into the "vanishing middle class”.
Over the past five years, CTC has coached more than 2,000 jobseekers. With your help, we can continue to provide these much-needed services. Federal and state funding is available to many agencies that assist jobseekers with other barriers: the disabled, those reentering the job market after incarceration or lacking a high school diploma. There is virtually no government funding for older workers with professional experience as they confront the unique barriers they face in today's employment market.
DONATE NOW. Your support helps CTC put jobseekers on a path to a successful outcome.
Former CTC participants write to us:
I want to say a BIG THANK YOU!!!!! You helped my career take a BIG STEP FORWARD! Keep up the great work! Samuel Hilliard, III
That warm feeling coming over you is the blanket of gratitude I am sending. I have a job and I am delighted! You gave me very specific things to do (keywords, sales pitches vs. job descriptions, etc.) that made all the difference. Ann P. Klonowski
Your sessions gave me the structure, support and know-how to confidently network my way into a new field. I hadn't realized how hard the transition would be as a middle-aged woman and I'm forever grateful that your programs were in existence. Carbery O’Brien
