Tabia's Ride to Medical School
Organized by: Tabs S

July 22, 2015
EVENT DATE Jul 25, 2015
Getting into medical school has been my goal for a very long time, and I am so proud to have accomplished this crucial step in my career. I'm so excited to start this chapter of my life!
Getting in was also the most expensive thing I've ever done. I spent all my savings on applications and travel for interviews, and I got a partial scholarship to one of my top choices, for which I am eternally grateful.
Here's the bottom line: the school requires that every student must have a personal vehicle for transportation. I cannot afford to purchase a car on my own - I need help. Your help. It's going to take several hands pushing together to get me over this last hump, and orientation starts July 27th!
Becoming a doctor has been my dream forever and it's so close I can feel it. I am so happy, so proud and so privileged to be where I am today. Please help me get a ride so I can actually get there!
Ways you can help:
1. DONATE! Any amount helps. The funds raised will go purchasing a used car with low mileage, registration, plates and insurance.
2. SPREAD AWARENESS! Help me help me! Share this with your friends to boost visibility and help raise funds.
In the meantime (June 27-July 25), I will be doing oddjobs here and there to raise money. I can babysit, house-sit, or pet-sit: I'm really good at sitting. Need your house cleaned? I can do that. Want a homecooked meal? I'm a whiz in the kitchen and I love to bake. Want me to take your grandma for a walk? Easy as pie! (Did I mention I love to bake?)
Please contact me if you have an oddjob I can do! Everyone who donates will receive a personal thank-you note (and cupcake if you live in NYC), and in 4 years, access to free healthcare (or at least, access to me). Thank you for taking the time to read my page!
