It's easy to be passionate about Caridad Center.
The families that come to us for help have few resources and nowhere else to go. We treat them with dignity and respect while getting them critical health services they need.
For nearly 30 years, Caridad Center has been providing free medical and dental care for underserved familes in South Florida. Our amazing doctors and dentists volunteer their time to make this happen, as well as our donors who play a critical role in assuring we have the funding needed to continue what we do.
We also provide education programs like tutoring, family health classes, and scholarhship funds, in addition to community outreach efforts like mentoring initiatives, Adopt-A-Family, and emergency and food programs for those who need it most.
By the numbers:
- More than 400 doctor, dentist, and community volunteers
- Every dollar donated to Caridad saves taxpayers $2.50
- In one year: 25,000 patient visits, 2,700 lab tests, 309 radiology services, 714 pap tests
Finally, we try to be prepared to help with every challenge - from providing bridge money to pay a month's rent until the breadwiner is well enough to return to work to donating backpacks and school uniforms so children can start school on equal footing.
We're here for the community.
Now and always, for as long as we have your help.
