Sharing Our Good Fortune
As a family of companies, we want to help ease the suffering of those affected by the catastrophic hurricanes and help those affected recover in the months and years to come. Cetera Financial Group is committing up to $50,000 in matching funds for Cetera Financial Group employees and advisors who wish to donate to relief efforts. We will do this through Caring Cetera, our in-house nonprofit 501(c)(3) charitable organization initiated by advisors. While some of you may not be familiar with Caring Cetera, these catastrophic events have provided us with reason to introduce you to this established organization with a track record of charitable activities, and extend the reach of the contributions it makes to deserving causes.
We have selected the American Red Cross as the recipient of the funds as it has the breadth and scale to deploy funds effectively across a wide range of needs and impacted areas. With thousands of volunteers staffing hundreds of shelters across seven states, the Red Cross provides a safe refuge and mobilizes supplies to support relief efforts for tens of thousands of people. The Red Cross will also stay, for as long as needed after the storms, to help people recover as they return to their homes.
We are fortunate to be in a position to allocate a portion of our success to helping others in need. We are grateful for the opportunity to provide meaningful support, which is a reflection of the significant progress we have made together in improving our overall financial performance and creating positive momentum for our whole family of companies in Cetera Financial Group.
