BENEFITING: Foundation for Women's Cancer
EVENT DATE: Nov 06, 2016
The Foundation for Women's Cancer is celebrating it's 25th year this year. They are the only national organization dedicated to the eradication of all reproductive cancers. Every five minutes, a woman is diagnosed with a reproductive cancer - cervical, ovarian, uterine, vaginal and vulvar - touching more than 98,000 American women each year. That is far too many of our mothers, aunts, sisters, daughters, wives and friends. That’s why this event is so important!
Since 2009, the National Race to End Women’s Cancer has brought together women and men of all ages from across the country. Together, we celebrate survivors, honor loved ones and raise awareness! Funds raised from the race enable the Foundation to administer top-notch educational programs to arm survivors and their loved ones with information and tools they can use to achieve the best possible treatment outcomes; facilitate awareness initiatives that promote messages about prevention and early detection; and invest in research that offers the greatest weapon and new hope in the quest to ultimately get to a future where gynecologic cancer no longer poses a health threat to women.
Please help our team raise awareness! Donate to the cause if you can. A donation in any amount will make a difference. Let's beat these "below the belt" cancers that claim the lives of too many mothers, aunts, sisters, daughters, wives and friends.
