Harvesting Hope: A Fund Drive Feeding Homebound Seniors
DEADLINE TO GIVE: Dec 31, 2013
The CareGivers, Inc. needs your support to continue serving the frail elderly and disabled in Southern New Hampshire.
Our clients often live alone on meager fixed incomes, and have trouble affording fundamental needs, like groceries and medicine.
The Caring Cupboard program is our answer to this need. It’s a pantry on wheels with volunteers who deliver thousands of pounds of food to hundreds of elderly and disabled people each month. The program is client-centered and driven by volunteers who call each client to create a shopping list from the pantry’s inventory. The order is then packed and delivered one Thursday night each month. Beginning with service to 40 households in September of 2008, the Caring Cupboard quickly expanded and now serves more than 350 homes.
But we can't continue to grow without your help. The more new clients we serve, the more food and supplies we need and the greater our operating costs. We are entirely funded by grants and donations, so funding drives like this one are essential. Every donation, small or large, makes a huge difference.
