Caring for Canines was born from one girl’s love and compassion for animals and her desire to help change the plight of homeless dogs. At fourteen years of age, Sarah Duncan started rescuing dogs and in 1992, Caring for Canines was established. Later, in 2003, Caring for Canines became a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Since then, the organization has continued to grow as family, friends, and other members of the community have joined the cause and because of this support, more dogs are saved each week and placed in loving homes.
In the past 20 years, Caring for Canines has rescued over 10,000 homeless dogs and given them a second chance at life. We hope to save even more in the next 20 years and with your help, we can make that happen.
