BENEFITING: American Red Cross
The American Red Cross is a proud founding member of the Measles and Rubella Initiative. This initiative was created as an effort of reducing the number of measles and rubella infections and deaths to 0 by 2020. These viruses are extremely contagious, but also extremely preventable. “Vaccinate a Village” is a fundraising service project in which we become a Measles & Rubella Initiative advocate and help raise funds to save lives. Each day, 330 children, mostly under the age of five, die from measles needlessly. A donation as little as $1 can provide life-saving measles and rubella vaccination for a child. By making a donation, you will make a huge impact in the mission to prevent measles and rubella around the world. – With a $1 donation, you can help vaccinate one child. – With a $5 donation, you can help vaccinate one family. – With a $10 donation, you can help vaccinate one classroom. $500 will vaccinate a whole village!
