Caroline's Run for Camp Jabberwocky 2016
Organized by: Caroline Leahy
Dear Friends and Family,
I am very excited to be running the New York Marathon in support of Camp Jabberwocky! As many of you know, Camp Jabberwocky is a summer camp on Martha’s Vineyard for children and adults with disabilities (http://campjabberwocky.org/).
It is a wonderful place where campers and counselors encourage and support one another to be the best that they can be and where everyone is valued for his or her strengths and unique contributions. I have been lucky enough to be a part of the Jabberwocky community since I started volunteering when I was fifteen years old.
Camp Jabberwocky is a nonprofit organization that is run by volunteers and is funded by private donations and grants. I entered the New York Marathon on a lottery bib, and I hope to make my run meaningful by raising enough money to cover the cost of sending one camper to a two-week session of camp. Please help me cross the finish line! Any size donation will help me reach my fundraising goal of $1,400. Thank you so much for your support, and I hope to see some of you along the marathon course on November 6th!
