Carol's empty purple purse
Organized by: Carol Haight
I am trying to help my cousin, Carol Haight. Carol is in dire need of help. She has worked her whole life to support her children and take care of her disabled husband. He was seriously injured on the job when he was in his early twenties. She helped him through many surgeries and countless days and nights of chronic and acute pain. After years of hard work and dedication, Carol's health began to fail, her husband suddenly left her and started a new life. She could no longer work and she was left with all the bills and the house payments. Carol is in need of multiple surgeries and has applied for social security disability. This process can drag on for years. She is barely hanging on to her home and her husband has not cooperated with her or assisted her in any way. She needs to get a divorce and get his name off of the house title in order to refinance or find a way not to end up homeless. She has no money to afford a lawyer. State assistance sends her less than two hundred dollars a month to live on.It is getting critical that she comes up with some solution before her home is foreclosed on her. She realizes that she is not the only one in this position. An extraordinary amount of women find themselves in this position. This is a financially crippling situation with no way out. Carol has faith that God will get her through and has vowed that when she gets back on her feet, she will help other women in this type of situation. Through out her life she has helped people in need when she had any spare resources and I ask that anybody that can Please help her. Any money raised that is not needed for her financial recovery will be used to set up a support group for women who find themselves trapped in a situation similar to hers. She would like to research any and all resources available to assist women in obtaining financial freedom and legal resources available. Her mission will be to educate and support women and help them get their life, their power and financial freedom back. I Thank You in advance for your kindness and I can assure you that this is a genuine plea for a very deserving person. Your donation could end up helping many women overcome a trap that has them feeling hopeless, helpless and unable to keep their home.
