What is Destination Imagination?
Destination Imagination provides opportunities for learners of all ages to explore and discover using the creative process from imagination to innovation.
Each team competes in a regional and then state tournament, where each team is scored on originality, workmanship, presentation, and teamwork. The top-tiered teams from these tournaments advance to Global Finals.
50,000 students compete in tournaments throughout the U.S. and 30 countries in hopes of earning a spot at the Global Finals.
What is “Bad Hair Days” project?
Every year Carondelet families donate food to Waite House, a local food shelf, all school year. The "Bad Hair Days" team realized that when school is not in session, no food was being collected during the summer months, which the families of Waite House rely on. To address this problem, the team held a talent show with over 35 acts and raised $3,600 to stock the shelves for the entire summer. Then they created a theatrical presentation, meme and news broadcast to highlight the impact it had on the community.
*If we do not reach our goal, the money will be put into an account for future DI activities or money can be refunded at donor's request.
