Assistance with car repairs for Brittany who has survived an assault but continues to smile
Brittany's biological family is working hard to get her back into their home and out of foster care. Her father is unemployed and disabled due to his lifelong career of being a logger. He gave Brittany the car, fully expecting to be able to help her pay for the needed repairs, but now that he is out of work, that is not a possibility. Brittany needs the car to drive herself to and from school.
About Wish Recipient:
Brittany, Child 13-18, Salem, OR
Brittany is a 16 year old Junior in High School. She has a beautiful smile, but she has many reasons to not show that smile very often. She is an active participant in the Marion County Independent Living Program and she is a JOY to have in the program, according to her worker. Brittany has recently been given a vehicle that is not driveable in its current state. The car needs a windshield, wipers, 2 windows, 2 mirrors and 4 tires. Brittany is looking for a job, but because she was recently victimized in a brutal assault, she is behind in her classes and can not let a job interfere with her education. She wish is for a gift card to be used toward repairs on the car. She has found relatively inexpensive options for most of the repairs, so any gift card she receives will be greatly appreciated!
