My daughter is turning 9 and is having a birthday party and invited some friends from school. One of her friends never took the note home to her parents, and instead returned it with a note in 8 year old scribbles that said the following:

"Please don't tell anyone I can't come because I don't have a car and this is the part I don't want you to say. If I have no car then I can't go to dance. The truth is I'm not in dance I just wanted to fit in. I'm sorry just please don't tell anyone even Mrs. (teachers name). I'm really sorry but just keep this a secret PLEASE.

SO SORRY (picture of a girls face with lots of tears)"

It was the most heartbreaking this I have ever read. She was lying to tell her 3rd grade class mates she would have to miss it for dance class because she wanted to fit in and not let them know she was unable to come because she didn't have a car.

After 24 hours, I can't let it go, and really want to do something to help this little girl and her family. Any donations will go directly to purchasing a car for her family.
