THE STORY:

Habitat for Humanity of the Chesapeake wrote -

Thank you for checking out the Jimmy & Rosalynn Carter Work Project page!

As you may know, Habitat for Humanity of the Chesapeake was chosen to host the Jimmy & Rosalynn Carter Work Project in October of 2010.

Jimmy and Rosalynn Carter will be visiting Baltimore and Annapolis on Tuesday, October 5, 2010. With the help of our amazing volunteers and generous donors, Habitat plans to build on 20 homes in two cities during the week of the 4th-9th!

As part of our team, you will help us provide affordable housing for 20 deserving families. These families will be part of neighborhood change and revitalization in struggling communities in Baltimore and Annapolis.

Spread the word! Habitat is tackling substandard housing one dollar at a time!

Great work. This is one of my favorite charities. I love that they make their homeowners actually help build their own houses and pay for them over time. This is a really effective charity! 8 years ago
