BENEFITING: METHODIST CHILDRENS HOME SOCIETY
It’s that time of the year again, when ghouls and goblins roam, and the full moon brings a chill...
Building on a 99 year legacy, Methodist Children’s Home Society (MCHS) finds safe, caring homes for children who are survivors of abuse and neglect across southeast Michigan, while providing support to children and families through foster care, adoption, residential care and transitional living. In 2015, MCHS helped nearly 100 children regain hope and security with MCHS foster families, and found forever families for 25. Last year, MCHS empowered more than 80 young men to overcome their past and reshape their future through its life-changing residential and transitional living programs, providing vital therapeutic and educational services while building life skills. As a secular nonprofit organization, MCHS has proudly serves children and families of every creed, background and lifestyle, and continues to change lives, thanks to the support of donors and volunteers. MCHS is located in Redford, Michigan.
Help us make this the best Halloween ever for the 100 kids we serve in residential care and foster care here at MCHS! We think every kid deserves to pick out their own Halloween costume, make jack-o’-lanterns and enjoy the treats and spooky fun of Halloween.
YOU can make sure a child doesn’t miss out this year. Give now and hit “share” so the children of MCHS can make childhood memories like every other kid, with a costume, trick-or-treating, and a Halloween dance.
$25 helps us buy candy for our kids, to hand out as treats in our cottages and as goody bags for our foster children. Like every other child, our kids look forward to a mountain of candy at the end of the night - help us make it happen!
$50 buys a costume for a child - after being transferred from school to school, it can be REALLY hard to make friends and feel normal. Having a costume to wear makes a kid's life better...and we're sure to be seeing lots of Iron Mans and Batmans roaming our campus this year!
$100 donations are going to help our boys who are planning their very own Halloween dance - these donations help us bring in a DJ and sound equipment to make the night awesome!
$250 buys party and dance supplies for the party our boys are planning - each dollar helps us purchase food, drinks, and decorations. Our boys have already picked out a few skeletons, fog machines, witches hats, and pumpkin faces they like - give now so our kids can have spooky treats, creepy foods, and haunting decor.
$500 buys costumes for a whole cottage (8-10 children!) - you can make their day when you ensure an entire cottage of kids can dress up for trick-or-treating, school parties, and Halloween celebrations!
