CASA of Los Angeles

CASA’s mission is to mobilize community volunteers to advocate for children and youth who have experienced abuse and neglect. Tax ID 95-3890446

CASA of Los Angeles is a non-profit organization which recruits, trains, and manages Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASAs) volunteers who are paired to work one-on-one with a child or youth in foster care to advocate for their best interest ( including making recommendations to the Court), to encourage them to grow to the fullest potential and become involved in key issues in their life, especially permanent placement, school, health and mental health issues.

CASA makes the most immediate connection - one caring adult to one child or youth in need- that can be the turning point in a life that has been interrupted and shaken. Our most significant accomplishments happen every day- when an overlooked opportunity is found, a service is secured or an adult connection is made that will help to keep a child safe and give him or her an opportunity to succeed in life.
