BENEFITING: Cascade Aquatic and Recreation Center
For as long as there has been Track and Field in Cascade, Idaho, there has been a tough, gritty group of kids training around muddy pot-holes, dodging neighborhood traffic and dogs and hurdling on uneven slushy pathways. Cascade is one of the few public high schools in the country that does not have its own track and field facilities.
Founder and Builder's of Kelly's White Water Park (KWP), Mark and Kristina Pickard, have generously offered land near KWP for a future site for Track and Field facilities. A temporary running track can be realized this year with funding of $30,000. Our goal is to develop a double bend 400 meter track with a safe, level surface where our kids can sprint, hurdle, jump, and throw in one centralized area with close proximity to the school. This track will not only benefit our kids, but our community as well.
We have learned that on-line crowd funding is the most efficient form of fundraising, and we want to make it as easy as possible for you to contribute to this worth while cause, but if you are a little old fashioned, plan to be >$1,000 generous, and/or want all of your donation to go directly to the track without the crowdrise or the credit card agency taking their cut...please mail or bring your tax deductible donation to Cascade Aquatic and Recreation Center, 333 Kelly's Parkway, Cascade, ID 83611 and mark it for the track. We are a resourceful group, and will find a way to show our appreciation and keep you looped into the progress.
