Casino Night 2016
Organized by: Hailey Fleece
On March 5th 2016 the brothers of Phi Delta Theta and the sisters of Alpha Phi will host their 5th annual Casino Night event. This event fundraises money for three organizations that are near and dear to our hearts, the Alpha Phi Foundation, the ALS Association, and Terps Against Hunger.
The Alpha Phi Foundation aims to advance women's lives through the power of philanthropy. This organization promotes awareness and education of heart disease, the #1 killer of women. The foundation also provides scholarships and grants to support sisters in need.
The ALS Association works to fight Lou Gehrig's disease (ALS) on all fronts. Lou Gerig's disease is a progressive neurodegenerative disease that is currently 100% fatal. The ALS Association gives help and hope to those facing the disease by raising awareness, coordinating and funding care, and researching new treatments and possible cures.
Terps Against Hunger is a student run organization at the University of Maryland that organizes and conducts food-packaging events with student groups and community organizations. All of the meals packaged are donated locally to food banks, shelters, and pantries i to help the growing food- insecure population in the DC area.
Please consider donating to this event to help raise money for these organizations!
