Thank You - I Reached My Goal!
August 02, 2016
Join me in helping Cat Town raise money! As many of you know, I adopted my cat, Leo, from Cat Town about two years ago, after fostering him for 6 weeks. Leo was a super stressed out and shut down kitty who landed at Oakland Animal Services (OAS) because his person had died. Cat Town had posted his story on Facebook and it just melted my heart. It took Leo over three weeks to let me near him, but he is now a happy boy, often found lounging in the sun or on his cat scratcher, or snuggling up with me. Had it not been for this amazing organization in recognizing that so many cats are not themselves in a shelter environment and getting them into foster homes, Leo would have likely never recovered and been euthanized. And because of the amazing work Cat Town does, OAS has seen a decrease in cat euthanasia rates drop from over 40% to just 7% since Cat Town's founding in 2011.
I also now volunteer at Cat Town about 3-5 hours as adoption counselor and socializer for our undersocialized cats. Please join me in helping Cat Town continue the work we do to pull cats from the shelter environment and save their lives by making a donation to this amazing organization.
