Catholic Charities is very excited to announce it's newest program, The Beacon, a day resource center for the homeless in downtown Madison, Wisconsin.

Last fall Catholic Charities supported Bethel Lutheran Church in Madison with their day center for the homeless. With our assistance, services were expanded to being offered five days a week from 8AM to 5PM. At the same time, Catholic Charities formed a partnership with the City of Madison, Dane County, and the United Way of Dane County to create The Beacon, a day resource center for the homeless. The Beacon will provide a safe shelter off the street. Guests will be able to use showers, laundry, and storage facilities, but maybe more importantly, take advantage of the support services offered within the center by several, additional already established non-profit agencies who can help them with finding employment, housing and assisting with other needs.
