Welcome to the official New York City Marathon Fundraising Team of Catholic Charities New York. Thank you for your interest in helping to solve the problems of New Yorkers in need - non-Catholics and Catholics alike.
Through a network of more than 90 administered, sponsored and affiliated programs, services and agencies, Catholic Charities delivers, coordinates and advocates for quality human services and programs touching almost every human need. Catholic Charities provides help and creates hope for our New York neighbors, responding to nearly every human need – always with compassion, always with dignity.
On November 4, 2012, Catholic Charities will participate in the ING New York City Marathon for the first time – and you are invited to be a part of our inaugural team at this historic event. “Team Godspeed” runners will be raising funds for the St. Nicholas Project, an initiative that supports New York families in need year-round with critical social services and the tools that enable them to transform their lives. St. Nicholas Project services including job readiness training, housing assistance, immigration and refugee resettlement counseling, and nutritious meals.
Catholic Charities athletes will commit to raising $1 in honor of each individual who is supported by the St. Nicholas Project – a $3,000 commitment per runner.
Run New York's premier athletic event with a premier New York charity. We hope you will support the Catholic Charities Team and our St. Nicholas Project.
