BENEFITING: UNITEDHEALTHCARE CHILDRENS FOUNDATION INC
EVENT DATE: Jun 11, 2016
I am joining the the Velo & Vines Century Ride in Healdsburg, California on June 11th in support of the UnitedHealthcare Children’s Foundation. The UnitedHealthcare Children’s Foundation (UHCCF) is a 501(c) (3) charitable organization that provides medical grants to help children gain access to health-related services not covered, or not fully covered, by their family’s commercial health insurance plan. This charity was founded in 1999. Since 2007, UHCCF has awarded more than 10,000 grants valued at over $29M to children and their families across the United States. UHCCF’s funding is provided by contributions from individuals, corporations and UnitedHealth Group employees.
Healdsburg is nestled in the heart of Sonoma Wine Country with well over 100 wineries within a 30 mile radius. I will be joining 99 other UHCCF supporters from all over the country to ride through this cycling mecca, riding along the vineyards, over the Russian River, and through Dry Creek Valley and Alexander Valley. This will be my first time in Sonoma County, CA. While I will have a beautiful scenary to view as I pedal, it is all for a good purpose.
Please support me and this charity with whatever contribution you are comfortable in donating. As an employee of UnitedHealthcare, I know the good work this charity does to help children get access to care their families may not be able to afford otherwise.
Thanks for your consideration,
