The Big Cats Initiative by National Geographic is dedicated to bringing better technology to rangers and other lion protectors to reduce poaching opportunities, identify perpetrators, and help local authorities prosecute illegal poaching acts. The initiative also combats big cat snaring by bush-meat hunters and provides medical treatment to snared cats. Half of my donation goal will go to building a Boma which protects livestock from big cats to help anxious farmers coexist with big cats in their backyard. The other half will go to medical treatment to help stop poaching and snare traps. There are only 3,500 tigers left in the wild and some of them are stepping on snare traps and losing limbs. We can help put a stop to that with just $1000. Please help me to try to put an end to poaching and snare traps.
