BENEFITING: CANCER CONCERN CENTER
EVENT DATE: May 06, 2012
I’m thrilled to share that the Cancer Concern Center has been selected as a Bronze Charity Partner for the New Jersey Marathon at the Shore, scheduled for May 6. As a Bronze Charity Partner, the Cancer Concern Center can organize a running team and raise funds through the full marathon, half marathon, and half marathon relay.
The Cancer Concern Center’s goal is to raise $50,000 because it will cover one year of operational expenses. This is the largest fundraiser we’ve ever conducted, and it’s timed perfectly to the 15th anniversary of the Cancer Concern Center in Point Pleasant Beach.
Do you know someone who would like to run with our team? The New Jersey Marathon at the Shore is a terrific race for beginners. You don’t have to qualify, and first-timers can tackle the half marathon relay or half marathon at a reasonable pace – about a 15-minute mile. If you can finish the half marathon in 3 hours and 15 minutes, you can join us!
To register for the marathon please go to http://www.njmarathon.org/ and use code NJM12CCC
Runners who commit to “Team Cancer Concern” agree to raise $1,000 for our organization. Every dollar remains with the Cancer Concern Center because the New Jersey Marathon does not take a percentage.
