BENEFITING: Crohn's & Colitis Foundation
ORGANIZER: Crohn's Colitis Foundation
I ran my first race at the Pittsburgh Marathon 5k in May 2014. I realized then that I love running and have been racing ever since! In May 2015, I will run my first half marathon in Pittsburgh! I am excited about this next step in my running journey, and also about raising money for a cause that I care deeply about.
As many of you know, I was diagnosed with Crohn's Disease in December 2006. Thanks to great doctors and a successful treatment plan, I am able to live a normal life and do the things I love, like running! The Crohn's and Colitis Foundation of America is an amazing organization that funds research, medical advocacy, and patient support.
Thank you for your support!

The Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation of America (CCFA) is a national non-profit organization dedicated to finding cures for Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis. Over 1.4 million Americans are directly impacted by these debilitating diseases. CCFA exists to fund cutting edge research, provide support services and to overall improve the quality of life of those living with Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis.
The dollars you raise as a fundraiser through the Pittsburgh Marathon go directly to the local chapter and help CCFA with its mission. We encourage you to learn more, fundraise and join us!
Our team requires a $250 minimum for each participant.
