No one likes to talk about Poop, so let's talk about the children that require nightly feedings through a tube because they can't eat, the surgery required to removed diseased intestines and colon. Let's talk about the drugs used to treat these diseases, cancer drugs and the drugs that cause cancer, that don't cure the disease but occasionally put the child in remission. I am raising funds to help children like Aiden, six years and diagnosed with Crohn's when he was four years old. It took almost 3 years to diagnose during which time he suffered fevers, infections, diarrhea, joint pain, numerous test and colonoscopies. I have taken on the challenge to run and raise funds and awareness by running not one but two, half marathons for the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation of America, a registered 501(c)3 charity. The mission of the Crohn's & Colitis Foundation of America (CCFA) is to cure Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis, and to improve the quality of life of children and adults affected by these diseases. Over 82% of every dollar goes to this mission. CCFA sponsors basic and clinical research of the highest quality, offer a wide range of educational programs for patients and health care professionals, while providing supportive services to help people cope with these chronic intestinal diseases. These programs are supported solely through donors, grants, and fundraising efforts. Team Challenge is the premier fundraising and endurance training program for CCFA. All donations are 100% tax deductible. Help me help those that live with these diseases and make them diseases we used to have.
