Thank you so much for the donation, Cecille! I really appreciate it. I had my last "long" training run this morning ... Only 9 days left ... Ahhhh! (You know the feeling)

Hopefully see you around the neighborhood!

Thanks again,
Peter

What a day! April 21, was …
What a day! April 21, was very special indeed as Team Forsyth #miles4smiles ran the 118th Boston Marathon. On behalf of the Forsyth Institute, I would like to extend my personal thanks for your support and contribution to the #miles4smiles Boston Marathon Fundraising Campaign. Training for the race was tough in one of the coldest and snowiest winters we have had in decades, but it was worth it! Knowing we had your support made it a truly memorable day. The race was exciting, exhausting, and exhilarating. Though the weather was picture perfect for spectators it ended up being a bit hot for runners, but that didn't diminish the significance of the day. We took back the finish line with your support.

Your gift supports cutting-edge research programs, and helps translate our work into applications that touch the lives of patients, practitioners, and the public. Our future success depends on many factors: the best scientists, faculty, and staff; the most committed trustees; the latest in facilities and equipment; and the interest and commitment of friends like you. We are proud of Forsyth’s distinguished accomplishments in the field and grateful for your philanthropic support of our work.
I can’t thank you enough. See you for the 119th running of the Boston Marathon. Who wants to run??

Sincerely,

David

Dear all, I'm writing with …
Dear all,

I'm writing with a few final updates before I hit the pavement tomorrow. Thanks to all of you - old friends and new - for your generosity. I feel lucky to be part of such a dynamic and compassionate community. You guys rock.

Tonight: My team was featured on NBC Nightly News with Brian Williams. Check it out - I haven't seen it, but I heard they got footage of me doing something embarrassing (probably just running). Maybe I should get a television...

The segment will be available here starting tomorrow: http://www.nbcnews.com/nightly-news

Tomorrow: At 11:25 a.m., around the time the elite runners are hitting the finish line, I'll set out from Hopkinton with the rest of my team. If you want to track me, my number is 31916, and I'm listed on the BAA website as Julia S. Marion (yes, that's my legal name.) You can download the BAA tracking app to your phone, or text my number to 345678 to receive text updates.

We've raised over $10,000 so far, and are reaching for $15,000 by the end of May. My team has raised over $750,000 to support those facing long term medical costs in the wake of last April's tragedy. Your donations are making a difference - many of the friends I've met in training this spring will run the marathon tomorrow due in large part to support from the One Fund.

I'll be running with a full heart, and I'm eternally grateful to each of you.

Very best,

Summer

Dear Joan, I cant thank you…
Dear Joan,
I cant thank you enough for all of your support--it means the world to me. On behalf of the Forsyth Institute, I would like to extend my personal thanks for your recent contribution to the #Miles4Smiles Boston Marathon Fundraising Campaign. On April 21, 2014, I will be running 26.2 miles on behalf of the Institute, along with Elizabeth Comeau of the Boston Globe, Katie Eastman from the Boston Herald, and Sean Cotton also from the Forsyth. Between now and then, we will be logging countless miles through the bitter New England winter months. Knowing we have the support of wonderful individuals like you will make it that much easier to keep on trucking!
