Hello, my name is Dr. Elliot Hirshorn. I want to tell you about our 2nd Annual Celebrate Another Birthday Campaign that begins April 15th and goes through Memorial Day. The goal of this campaign is to raise funds for an organization called Stop Soldier Suicide, whose goal in a sense is to help our military men and women live to Celebrate Another Birthday of their own. This organization is devoted to helping the men and women of our military, both active duty and veterans to avoid the tragedy of suicide. One active duty service person and 22 or more Veterans end their lives every single day as a result of PTSD and other invisible illnesses they sustained while serving our great country. I am extremely passionate about this cause, because it is personal to me. My brother, Sgt. Zacharie G Hirshorn, became one of those 22 Veterans and lost his battle with PTSD on Friday, August 29, 2014. Just this past February 13, 2016 would have been my brother’s 32nd birthday, but he did not get to Celebrate Another Birthday. It is the goal of this campaign to raise money so that the patriots of our armed forces have the resources and help they need to avoid this tragedy and to be able to Celebrate Another Birthday with their loved ones. Your contributions are tax deductible and greatly appreciated. Even better, is that if you help me reach our goal of $2500, I will personally add an additional $1000 to the pot. But wait, it gets better. Every dollar that both you and I raise, will also be matched by an anonymous donor! No gift is too big or too small. If you cannot provide financial support, please pray for our military members and the families of those left behind. Thank you for joining me in this worthy cause to help our brave men and women be able to Celebrate Another Birthday. Thank you and God bless.
