THE STORY:

My wife, daughter and myself are running to help support the Celiac Disease Center at Columbia University and the Center's research into celiac disease. One day our youngest daughter passed out at school. Undiagnosed celiac disease had robbed her body of the nutrients she needed and her body just shut down. The Celiac Disease Center at Columbia University handled our daughter with great care and understanding. They educated us on the disease and what our daughter needed to do to lead a healthy life. It took awhile but our daughter regained her strength and vitality and now carefully maintains her health. We have seen the pain and suffering when gluten contamination occurs. We run to support the Center in all they do but especially the research. We hope they can find a cure and help all those with the disease.
