Center City Kitty Fund
Organized by: Marie Leinberger
The Situation: Earlier this week, a friend found a litter of kittens in South Philadelphia. They were abandoned, malnourished, but very affectionate with humans and each other. They were in serious need, but my friend couldn't foster them, so he reached out. I agreed to take the 4 he had rescued. As I was leaving the house, his neighbor came up to me with another kitten, saying that he had found him on the stoop the previous night! So now Im up to five, who am I to separate siblings? Well, the next morning I get another call. My friend has walked out of his door and saw another kitten, lost and searching for her family. How can I say no to that? So now I have 6 foster babies in my bathroom, snuggled and warm and fed for the first time since they were abandoned.
The Need: I am a student nurse in Philadelphia. Loans and odd jobs pay my bills, so the daunting task of covering the medical bills of these kittens hit me hard last night. I want them to be the healthiest they can be when they find their forever home!
Ill be fostering through PAWS, a great organization in philly that will be covering(most of) their medical costs! Im so blessed to live in this city!
Break Down for 3 Months of Care:
FIV Tests: 15.00/kitten - $90 total
Food/Litter $300.00 for 3 months
Some of this is covered by donations, but 6 kittens eat A LOT!
This might seem odd, but two extra loads of kitten bedding/week over 12 weeks adds UP!
Thank you for your amazing donation, ANY amount is helping these little ones thrive. Ill be posting updates and pictures to let you all know how they are doing!
