We need your help in celebrating the successes and achievements of those working hard to overcome poverty. Imagine the challenge of keeping a job when you do not have a home of your own, you only own one "professional" outfit that was worn for the interview, and there are days where you must choose to forego proper nutrition in order to afford public transportation to get to work. But more importantly, what about the kids? Approximately 1 out of every 45 children is experiencing homelessness in the U.S. - and child care is expensive. Unfortuantely, it wasn't their choice to live this way, just as it wasn't for their mother or father who are now trying not to repeat the same mistakes of their parents as well.

Poverty is a cycle, and it is largely a cycle of lack of resources and support more than anything else. If at this time you are able to give a donation, you should be quite grateful, for that means somewhere along the way you have received encouragement and support from others to get to where you are today. And if you do give a donation, your support will serve much of the same purpose: It will be used toward gift cards to motivate those who have been consistently working and maintained a stable status of employment. In other words, if your parents ever tried to entice you to do something with cash or new toys, this is essentially the same idea. They only wanted what was best for you.

“Overcoming poverty is not a task of charity, it is an act of justice. Like Slavery and Apartheid, poverty is not natural. It is man-made and it can be overcome and eradicated by the actions of human beings. Sometimes it falls on a generation to be great. YOU can be that great generation. Let your greatness blossom.”
