STEP 1 - COMPLETED
First of its kind consciousness program is active!
- Current Efforts At The University of Washington Bothell
The Consciousness Minor investigates the nature, dynamics, and functions of the mind through the perspectives of psychology, neuroscience, physics, biology, and contemplative practices. It utilizes both objective and subjective methods to explore levels of awareness, the intersection of mind and matter, and ways to enhance individual and collective well-being.
- Fundraiser To Reach The Broader Community - Help Launch CERC
CERC supports the development of undergraduate and graduate programs in Consciousness at the University of Washington Bothell. CERC’s mission is to educate a new generation of scholars and scientists who are prepared to bring an expanded level and understanding of consciousness to solve the complex challenges confronting humankind at this critical time.
- Why Consciousness?
Human understanding of consciousness and its relationship to the nature of reality is undergoing a rapid and unprecedented shift in scientific attention. As old ways of thinking become increasingly inadequate, the importance of studying consciousness has never been more clear: we require a radically expanded understanding of human nature and our world if we are to address the challenges we face at this decisive time.
- Your Role In CERC And The Consciousness Movement
The campaign for CERC is an international effort aimed at making the field of consciousness available to a new generation of scholars and scientists. Our goal is to raise an endowment that will develop comprehensive consciousness programs at the University of Washington Bothell, supporting faculty recruitment, cutting-edge research, community partnerships, scientific symposia, and continuing education programs. As the first of its kind at a major public university, CERC will help support the further development of consciousness programs with partnerships around the world.
