BENEFITING: Center For Hope And Safety
For this year's Purple Purse Challenge, we are pleased to partner with Dan Meredith Allstate Agency, Rutherford.
Did you know that . . . one in four women will experience domestic violence in their lifetime?
The main objective of Center For Hope and Safety is to provide safety, strength and hope for survivors of domestic violence. The agency was founded on the vision and belief that every person has the right to be safe, empowered, and free from violence and the fear of violence. Central to this belief, Center for Hope and Safety seeks to eliminate domestic violence.
Since it's inception in 1976, Center for Hope and Safety has been a recognized leader in the domestic violence movement. We have pioneered many of the intervention strategies currently utilized by domestic violence programs throughout NJ. For over four decades the agency has been a place where victims of domestic violence can be safe and find strength and hope. We are the only agency dedicated to sheltering Bergen County’s women and children who are victimized by domestic violence. We pride ourselves in offering timely, quality and comprehensive delivery of services. Our focus is building empowerment and self-sufficiency for our families During the last four decades, the agency expanded its programs in the areas of work-readiness training, bilingual services, children's creative arts therapies, affordable transitional housing, and follow-up services to make the agency an even stronger asset to the community.
