Hello for 2017! I am back at it! Last year was wildly successful as my campaign reached 106% of its goal. Thank you to all of my generous donors in 2016!
My name is Matt Seeberg and I am asking again for your thoughtful contribution to my fundraising campaign. In the summer of 2017, I am cycling over 1,000 miles by participating in multiple 100-mile organized rides in Illinois, Wisconsin, and Michigan. A single 100-mile ride is known as “a century." The goal of my fundraising effort is to ride the ten “centuries for progress,” helping to raise money for a few outstanding charities. Because of the midwestern weather, all of these rides must happen between June and September, so please be prepared to help out quickly!
The planned rides are:
Udder Century: McHenry, IL; June 4, 2017 (COMPLETED)
BCLC Ramble: Wilmot, WI; June 11, 2017 (COMPLETED)
Swedish Days: Burlington, IL; June 25, 2017 (COMPLETED)
Holland 100: Holland, MI; July 15, 2017 (COMPLETED)
Bike Psychos: Coal City, IL; August 20, 2017 (COMPLETED)
Cream City Century: Waterford, WI; August 27, 2017 (COMPLETED)
Harmon Hundred: Wilmot, WI; September 10, 2017 (COMPLETED)
North Shore Century: Evanston, IL; September 17, 2017 (COMPLETED)
Apple Cider Century: Three Oaks, MI; September 24, 2017 (COMPLETED)
Pumpkin Pie Ride: Ottawa, IL; October 1, 2017 (COMPLETED)
So, join me and help raise funds for some great causes. You can donate as often as you like! Consider a donation for each planned ride - so your small commitment of, say, $5.00 per ride can generate a wonderfully generous donation of $50.00. Or think of it in terms of miles. A commitment of a mere 5 cents per mile will equal that same donation of $50.00. You can even split that donation across multiple charities!
There are so many great charities available for support, but we cannot support them all. I have selected three that align with my values and interests:
K9s For Warriors: A returning charity from 2016! K9s For Warriors specializes in training and placing service dogs for our disabled United States veterans who have been injured in military service post 9/11. Click here for more information.
Doctors Without Borders - Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF): Back for more in 2017! An international medical humanitarian organization created by doctors and journalists in France in 1971. They work where no one else will go. Click here for more information.
Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA): Together with its state and local member programs, CASA supports and promotes court-appointed volunteer advocacy so every abused or neglected child in the United States can be safe, enjoy a permanent home, and have the opportunity to thrive. For more information, click here.
Matt Seeberg Fundraising Support Fund: Ok, so I am not a recognized 501(c)(3) charitable organization, but I could use some help as well! It takes money to raise money, and these funds will go 100% to covering any costs that I incur as part of my effort. Click here to donate and for more information. PLEASE NOTE: this link will direct you to a GoFundMe site - this redirect is required by Crowdrise.
Together we can make a difference, and my effort - coupled with your generosity - will do just that. My selected charities will appreciate your generosity and I will be forever grateful.
