BENEFITING: DISABLED VETERANS NATIONAL FOUNDATION
EVENT DATE: Sep 25, 2015
Disabled Veterans National Foundation (DVNF) CEO, Joe VanFonda (USMC SgtMaj Ret.), is participating in the Ride2Recovery (R2R) Army-Navy Ride from New York to Annapolis, with his fellow veterans. On September 25th, he will first present a check to Ride2Recovery from DVNF for $30,000. This money is to support the purchase of more adaptive equipment for rides such as this.
Now, Joe wants to use his participation in this ride as an opportunity to spread awareness about PTSD, and to raise money to boost DVNF's funding of many nationwide organizations that are finding new and unique ways to help veterans overcome post-traumatic stress!
Thanks to the sponsorships from our friends at VeraData Digital, Copilevitz & Cantor, Engage, and Innovaire, Joe has the expenses for the ride covered. Now, he wants to make his participation in this event meaningful to the thousands of veterans struggling with the mental impacts of combat.
