CESNA wants to help raise funds for a non-profit organization that speaks to what we believe in. We have chosen to raise money for Comfort Zone Camp. All donations will be sent to Comfort Zone Camp.
"Comfort Zone Camp is a nonprofit 501(c)3 bereavement camp that transforms the lives of children who have experienced the death of a parent, sibling, or primary caregiver. "
CESNA is an acronym for Counselor Education Student Networking association. CESNA is led by a small group of students under the supervision of a faculty adviser. In our profession, we serve mostly students in the areas of personal/social development, academics, and career development. We also believe the relationships we as students develop in graduate school provides us a network of colleagues with whom we may share ideas and resources with throughout our counseling careers. Therefore, we want to provide a helping hand to a resource that is already out there in the community. Without resources, counselors would not be able to collaborate with others to help students as holistically as possible.CESNA wants to be in touch with our community and be a part of something we are so passionate about. We believe in advocating, and fundraising is a part of that because we are putting something into action and helping others for a great cause.
