On November 6, 2016, I will once again be running in the 7th annual weSPARK Run/Walk. I serve as president of the board of directors of weSPARK (www.wespark.org), a cancer support center located in Sherman Oaks offering free support groups, integrative therapies, and creative and educational workshops to all whose lives have been affected by cancer—patients, caregivers, families, and friends, as well as those who have lost loved ones to cancer. Your donations directly fund these free services available to everyone in Southern California, and around the world through weSPARK’s online programs.
As always, I am running in memory of my father, Rick Fitzgerald, whom my family lost to cancer 4 years ago at the far-too-young age of 62. This year, I’m also running in memory of another family member, Joan Roman, whom we also lost to cancer too young. As we approach Thanksgiving, I am thankful for my time with my family and for weSPARK, which provided me—and provides so many others—such incredible and indispensable support. Any donation in any amount is greatly appreciated and will go directly to helping those in need of the free services weSPARK provides. Thank you for your support.
