Pitchers and donors report!
March 16, 2016
BENEFITING: NeighborWorks Northeastern Pennsylvania
EVENT: Over the Edge Scranton 2016
EVENT DATE: Jun 11, 2016
Hi, I'm CHAMP, the hardest-working prospect in the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders/New York Yankees farm system. I'm showing my support for the cause of building better neighborhoods by rappelling 14 stories from Bank Towers, Scranton's tallest building, on June 11 during the first-ever Over The Edge Scranton charity event! If you donate a minimum of $10 to the campaign to toss me off the roof, I'll put you on the will-call list for a free ticket to the RailRiders vs. Buffalo Bisons game at 6:35 p.m. Thursday, April 21. (That'll be NeighborWorks NEPA night at PNC Field, and the Over The Edge team will be there with freebies and lots more information about the big day! Plus, you can get $1 Bud Lights and Pepsi products from 5:30-7:30 p.m.!)
Come see me represent my team (and show my support for charity) when I rappel! Your donation will help me take the leap and support the cause, but here's a better offer: I really want someone to do this with me, so any rappeller who raises $2,000 and doesn't have his or her own partner for a tandem rappel can descend the building right next to me! If I get more than one taker, your names will go into a raffle for the spot, and if you don't win, I'll give you a really nice RailRiders T-shirt instead.
I was born underneath the bleachers at Yankee Stadium, by the way, and currently make my home in Moosic, Pa. No place like my local home!
