Change Food creates experiences. Whether it be a salon, festival or dinner series, Change Food develops and implements creative experiences that raise awareness and provide tools that can educate and help others. This is all in an effort to build an equitable, safe, fair food system. (Change Food is a project of Trust for Conservation Innovation.)
In 2017, we will focus on connecting the Good Food and Food Tech movements, all in an effort to build bridges that will lead to increased investment and support for food leaders who are working in areas of great need who are not getting the support they should.
We will concentrate on the launch of the Change Food Center and expansion of the Change Food Library. We also hope to bring you another event even better than the recent Change Food Fest.
Why should you care? Watch Executive Director Diane Hatz's talk "Food Tech Needs the Voice of Good Food".
But we can't do this without you. No amount is too small - $10 is a huge help! We are putting our efforts into providing marketing help and resources to leaders who haven't been able to get the right support to be as successful as they should be. This most often happens in high need areas with people of color or with rural youth who are often overlooked.
Other must see talks from the recent Change Food Fest include:
Devita Davison, FoodLab Detroit - "Black Food Matters: Race and Equity in the Good Food Movement"
Sam Polk, Everytable - "All For All – How To Make Health Food Affordable For Every Table"
Loren Cardeli, A Growing Culture - "Changing Our Food System Starts with Changing Our View of Farmers"
See more amazing talks in the Change Food Video Library.
Please - donate today so we can continue to support others. (Please note: your donation will be earmarked for our fiscal sponsor, Trust for Conservation Innovation, but, rest assured, it will come directly to Change Food.)
And stay in touch always by getting our newsletter.
Thank you - and Happy Holidays.
Mission: Change Food connects and collaborates with those who produce and care about food in order to transform the environment in which our food is grown and help improve the way we eat. We believe everyone has the right to healthy, safe, delicious food.
