WHY MT. KILIMANJARO?
So everyone who hears about our climb will know about the people of Vea, a remote village in the far Northeast region of Ghana, West Africa. In Vea, there is no running water, no electricity and one doctor for every 183,000 people. They have no clean water source and the life expectancy is less than 50 years old. High infant mortality rates mean that every year, 80,000 children do not live to see their 5th birthday. Half of these child deaths are caused by malnutrition. The average household makes $17 per month. Feel the need for change? Visit changeghana.org to learn how your gift can make a difference.
