BENEFITING: MYTEAM TRIUMPH
Welcome to the Chariot for Ethan fundraising page, hosted by myTEAM Triumph: Ainsley’s Angels of Eastern Carolina, on behalf of Ethan's Mom.
With your generosity, Ethan’s mother, Linda, aims to raise enough money to purchase a chariot, also known as the Freedom Push Chair by Advanced Mobility, for Ethan! This chariot will allow him to compete in local road races, while being pushed by Linda and eventually Ethan’s siblings, Nora and Nolan too! Trust me, as the father of a very special girl named Ainsley, that the that the positive energy surrounding the start line, the children smiling from ear to ear, the togetherness of every member preparing to "roll with the wind", the fearlessness of the athletes, the normalcy of the family, and the love we all have for each other is a therapy like no other. And to see Ainsley’s siblings run with her, WOW! I just know this is going to be a life changing event for this family.
Here is a special message from Linda:
“I'm a single mom with 3 children, my 2 sons have special needs. My son, Nolan, is very active and loves to be outside. My daughter Nora is also active in sports and outdoors. Nora and Nolan have started running charity races with me. Ethan has autism, cerebral palsy, and is non-verbal. While he is able to walk, Ethan does not have the strength or stamina to participate in a road race, although I know he would love to be involved. When I engage my other children in physical activities, Ethan is either on the sidelines or not able to be present at all.
Having a Freedom Push Chair for Ethan will allow Ethan to participate in many outdoor activities that we cannot do together now. Activities like long walks, jogging, running at a track or road races, would be possible for Ethan with this chair.

What is mTT - Ainsley's Angels of Eastern Carolina?
We are an athletic ride-along program created for children, teens, adults and veterans with disabilities who would normally not be able to experience endurance events such as triathlons or road races. Everyone's support is much appreciated, as we aim to run many miles and create many SMILES!
Who is Ainsley?
Ainsley does not talk or walk; she does not play for fun; but she smiles, while out for a run. An inspiration to thousands, she is an amazing little girl with a smile that will light up any room. Shortly after being diagnosed with an extremely rare progressive genetic nerve disorder called Infantile Neuroaxonal Dystrophy (INAD), Ainsley completed the Surfer's Healing Virginia Beach 5K road race. Her first of many running-aided, wind-induced smiles took our family's collective breath away as she received her finisher's medal and became an official Team Hoyt Virginia Beach (THVB) ATHLETE! Inspired by Dick and Rick Hoyt, and the only running team authorized by the Hoyt's to use their name, THVB provided Ainsley's family with a therapeutic means to fight the devastation associated with learning and trying to live with the fact that your child has a terminal illness. The positive energy surrounding the start line, the children smiling from ear to ear, the togetherness of every member preparing to "roll with the wind", the fearlessness of the athletes, the normalcy of the family, and the love we all have for each other is a therapy like no other. In an effort to spread this amazing experience to as many people as possible, Ainsley's Angels aims to see other families experience what the Hoyt's have experienced nearly 1100 times and what we have experienced over 40 times (so far). As such, we created this chapter of myTEAM Triumph to ensure others can "roll with the wind" and live up to the philosophy of, "Yes You Can."
