BENEFITING: MYTEAM TRIUMPH
Welcome to the Chariot for Jamie fundraising page, hosted by Ainsley’s Angels.
With your generosity, we aim to purchase a brand new Freedom Push Chair to be delivered in August to Jamie’s house! This chair will allow her to compete in local road races with his family! As the father of a very special girl named Ainsley, the positive energy surrounding the start line, the togetherness of every member preparing to "roll with the wind", the fearlessness of the athletes, the normalcy of the family, and the love we all have for each other is a therapy like no other. I just know this is going to be a life changing event for this family.
A Special Message from Jamie and her Dad:
Hey my name is Jamie I’m 20 and I love to go for long walks and sometimes even a run, only thing is, I can’t. My family pushes me in my chair sometimes my brother will push me faster and faster and I love it. I’ve watched my brothers run in half marathons, they looked fun. My dad and brother run together a lot and they have just signed up to run a 5K. My dad asked if I would like to do it to and I said yes. Hope my dad can make it, I think so, and my brothers will help him push me. There’s only one problem, I need a special chair for running, and mine is only made for walks. Can you help me, if some of my friends and family pitch in, I can buy one, then I can run in the race with my dad. Hopefully this will be my first of many races.
Hi, I’m Jamie’s Dad, if you know my girl; you know she is very special. Maybe you’ve received a keychain, necklace or one of the thousands of her bracelets she has given away. If you have, and can see past her exterior and see her love for giving gifts, then hopefully you’ve been blessed. We have experienced this blessing on many occasions when she has given these gifts. My wife has seen women brought to tears because they received something from Jamie. Maybe just a kind gesture is what they needed at that very moment or maybe they see a young lady struggling with her special needs and think, I have no reason to be down, I am free to walk or run anywhere I please. Either way, she has been a blessing to many and we are asking will you be a blessing to her. Please help us raise the funds for Jamie’s running chair.

Who is Ainsley?
Ainsley does not talk or walk; she does not play for fun; but she smiles, while out for a run. An inspiration to thousands, she is an amazing little girl with a smile that will light up any room. Shortly after being diagnosed with an extremely rare progressive genetic nerve disorder called Infantile Neuroaxonal Dystrophy (INAD), Ainsley completed the Surfer's Healing Virginia Beach 5K road race. Her first of many running-aided, wind-induced smiles took our family's collective breath away as she received her finisher's medal and became an official Team Hoyt Virginia Beach (THVB) ATHLETE! Inspired by Dick and Rick Hoyt, and the only running team authorized by the Hoyt's to use their name, THVB provided Ainsley's family with a therapeutic means to fight the devastation associated with learning and trying to live with the fact that your child has a terminal illness. The positive energy surrounding the start line, the children smiling from ear to ear, the togetherness of every member preparing to "roll with the wind", the fearlessness of the athletes, the normalcy of the family, and the love we all have for each other is a therapy like no other. In an effort to spread this amazing experience to as many people as possible, Ainsley's Angels aims to see other families experience what the Hoyt's have experienced 1100 times and what we have experienced nearly 50 times (so far). As such, we created this chapter of myTEAM Triumph to ensure others can "roll with the wind" and live up to the philosophy of, "Yes You Can."
