BENEFITING: MYTEAM TRIUMPH
Ainsley's Angels is thrilled to help ensure Kayla can soon roll with the wind in her very own Team Hoyt custom chair! With your generosity, we are certain this can happen soon. As the father of two very special girls that race together with me, I know that the positive energy surrounding the start line as we prepare to be included and "roll with the wind", and the normalcy of the family, is a therapy like no other. Here is a note from Kayla's mother:
I have been chosen to be Kayla's mother, entrusted to take care of her to the best of my ability..a true gift and a privilege. As Kayla gets older (she's 8 now) and we experience life together my purpose is becoming more and more clear. Her disability (Spastic Quadriplegia Cerebral Palsy) is not forgiving on her growing body, with a double hip surgery behind us and a spine surgery ahead of us (hopefully not for a few years) her pure, untainted, happy spirit shines through Kayla daily, I feel like the student sometimes.. I AM Kayla's voice, her ABLE body. I love running, Kayla loves running with me. When we race, Kayla is LIMITLESS, FREE, she's like everyone else for a little while, she's included and I know she indeed feels "Special"! If I can give Kayla the feeling that so many take for granted, if only for a little while...well, that's just what I am going to do for as long as I can. Inclusion is what matters and I pray that with "Team Kayla" racing we will create awareness and support for any and every handicap "duo" team that wants to race with no limitations.
YES, YOU CAN...donate 20 or 50 dollars right now to ensure the thrill of rolling with the wind and crossing a road race finish line!
