Comprehensive and effective health care has long been an obstacle for many Franklin County residents because of insufficient income due to episodic or generational poverty. Many find themselves making hard decisions between medicine or food. The Charitable Pharmacy of Central Ohio (CPCO) provides medication, health screenings, health and wellness education, medication counseling, nutrition counseling, and social program referrals at no cost for low-income, uninsured, and underinsured individuals.
Patients include Franklin County residents living at or below 200% of the Federal Poverty Level. CPCO is the only pharmacy that qualifies patients for up to 12 months, providing continuity of care. This continuity is especially important for patients with multiple clinical conditions that require ongoing medication and services.
For the patients we serve, we provide critical, often lifesaving services. Hope. A lifeline. A shoulder to cry on. A much needed boost. For some, we are there just when they need someone there the most. The Charitable Pharmacy works, and we invite you to join us in caring for the whole of our community.
