EVENT: Cooper River Bridge Run 2012
EVENT DATE: Mar 31, 2012
Like so many of you I am a huge sports fan especially a baseball fan. While I am not any good at it, I can get on a local field and throw a ball around or hit a few whenever I want. But, for children and adults who have intellectual or physical disabilities that is not a simple task. However, with the support and dedication of the Charleston Miracle League it is a possibility! Check out the web site to see how much fun everyone is having! www.CharlestonMiracleLeague.org
I have coached The Phillies an adult Miracle League team since the adult league began in the fall of 2009. It is a privilege to assist people who have disabilities participate in something that I love so much!
Our players have a state-of-the-art complex built specifically for them. The Charleston Miracle League is free of charge to all participants in order to provide access to all! Because of this, we have one major fundraiser, Bridging The Gap Through Baseball, where participants are sponsored to run or walk the Cooper River Bridge 10K Run/Walk. While I am volunteering at the Cooper River Bridge Run and not actually running it, I am dedicated to raising $1,000 for the Miracle League so that we can continue to offer this wonderful opportunity!
Thank you for reviewing my materials and now I hope that you will consider making a donation to support the Charleston Miracle League especially all of you baseball fans and especially all of you softball players that I have come in contact with over the years!!! We take so much for granted!
Please consider donating and volunteering at the games. I guarantee you will be changed for life when you witness the magic and determination of our players who are doing something that is so simple and easy for most of us!
