The mission of the March of Dimes is to improve the health of babies by preventing birth defects, premature birth, and infant mortality. We help moms have full term pregnancies and research the problems that threaten the health of ALL babies.
Every year, about 450,000 babies are born too soon in the United States, and worldwide, that number grows to an even more alarming 15 million babies. One million die as a result of their early birth. In our state, our prematurity rate has declined, but still affects nearly 9,000 babies each year.
Help us continue to change this statistic so more families will know the joy of having a healthy baby!
Together we give ALL babies a fighting chance!
