BENEFITING: NATIONAL CANINE CANCER FOUNDATION INC
EVENT DATE: Oct 13, 2013
Like many worthwhile organizations, the Chase Away K9 Cancer campaign finds its beginnings at the end of a great love and loss. And, like a Phoenix rising from the depths of sorrow, works to provide new hope and promise for many, now and in the future.
Hello! My name is Lynne and I've been working with Chase Away K9 Cancer for almost 3 years now. I found them during a late night search for help when I lost my Rottie, Jersey Girl, to lymphoma at the young age of four. She wasn't my first loss. Canine cancer took my Rottie, Leo, in 2006 at the age of 8.5 years. Hers was in her mammary glands. These were my girls, my kids, my family. Chase Away helped me find hope and a channel for me to pour my heart and energy.
This year, I was able to get into the Chicago Marathon. It will probably be my last full marathon. Help me make it Lucky Number 7! Donate to bring an end to this disease so no one else has to go through what I have. Till there are no more goodbyes!
