Chase’s Place provides a nurturing, supportive environment that encourages our students to discover new abilities and enables them to explore and discover the many possibilities that the world has to offer. Instruction extends beyond the classroom into the surrounding community. Fieldtrips and other activities provide students the opportunity to utilize the life skills they are attaining in a multitude of settings and with a variety of people.
Families are vital to the success of the Chase’s Place program. Our staff works closely with each student’s family to ensure the successful transfer of skills between school and home. Parents are always encouraged to observe and/or visit the classrooms by appointment. Together, the Chase’s Place staff and the student’s parents develop a plan to successfully meet the needs of the child both in the classroom and at home.
Each student at Chase’s Place learns not only from their teachers and family, but also from their peers. Chase’s Place gives special needs children the opportunity to interact with others in a community of similar individuals. Many parents comment how happy their children are now because of their daily social interactions at Chase’s Place.
