My name is Michael Mills, I am a T12/L1 Paraplegic from Covington, GA. I am training for the 2013 Spartan Beast Race on 11/09/2013. Not only is this one of the hardest events anyone will ever do, I am doing it paralyzed. I am going to crawl on my hands and knees for majority of the event to prove that there is no such thing as a disability. I have already completed a Spartan Sprint on 03/09/2013 and became the first ever paralyzed person to complete a Spartan Race and on 06/22/2013 I set out to be the first paralyzed person to compete in the 2013 Summer Spartan Death Race where I lasted almost 25 hours before I was eliminated.
Now I am tackling another Spartan event and as the past follows, I will be the first ever paralyzed person to complete a Spartan Beast. www.spartanrace.com
So, I decided again that I will raise money for Bert’s Big Adventure Bert’s Big Adventure is an organization who raises money for terminally and chronically ill children and their families for a special trip to Disneyworld each year. Bert’s Big Adventure cannot do this without donations. That is where you come in, I need your help in raising money for Bert’s Big Adventure. Go to www.bertsbigadventure.org and see what Bert's Big Adventure is all about. You will see why I am crawling on my hands and knees for these children and their families.
